About the tube
Long Plate High spec Russian pre amp tube. These are top of the range in the Russian Sovtek tubes.
These are Cryogenically treated SOVTEK LPS 12AX7 valves. The valves have been subjected to subzero temperatures for several days and then slowly elevated to room temp by a microprocessor controlled system. The treatment has been carried out by the worlds leading Cryogenic specialist lab. Tubes subjected to Cryo treatment undergo a molecular structural change within all the inner metal components which is known to relieve internal stresses and produce a more tactile, smooth and more rugged material. We have had rave reviews from customers that have purchased the Cryo version of these tubes.
What about the tone?
Untreated, these tubes produce an awesome sound with a wide response and great depth.
