They are coated with a special material developed by Gore which prohibits the ingress of grease and grime attacking the wound strings. This in turn significantly prolongs the
'as new' tone for many times longer than uncoated strings. These Phosphor Bronze strings offer a deeper warmer tone than 80/20 bronze.
The Nanoweb strings have the finest microscopic coating available applied to the wound strings. These Nanoweb strings provide maximum life, brightness and string protection whilst offering a traditional natural feel to the wound strings. The strings feel like standard wound strings but last much longer and retain their new tone for many times longer than traditional strings.
